Police are canvassing neighbourhoods in the area to see if anyone saw anything unusual, and are asking anyone with information to call their local police department.

The scene remained secured as of 5 p.m. Wednesday and residents were asked to stay away from the walking trails that run in a northern direction east of the mall. The trails were reopened to the public at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
