Prince Albert police recover stolen truck with infant inside

A 25-year-old woman is facing charges after a truck with an infant inside was briefly stolen in Prince Albert, Sask. on March 11. At around 7:45 p.m. CT, police were called to the 200-block of 16th Street West.

An officer was advised of the theft by a witness in a parking lot. Police say the infant’s parent ran into a business with the vehicle unlocked and the keys in the ignition.

The stolen truck was quickly located, a traffic stop was initiated and the driver was arrested.

Police say the infant was returned to the parent unharmed.

The woman is facing charges of impaired driving, exceeding .08 and theft of motor vehicle. She was expected to make her first appearance Monday in Prince Albert provincial court.
