TORONTO – An alleged impaired driver is one of five people in hospital after an early morning crash in Brampton Saturday.
Peel Regional Police were called to a crash scene on Highway 407 eastbound near Airport Road at 6:10 a.m.
They say a single vehicle left the roadway and traveled through a field before plunging into a deep ditch.
Peel Paramedics say all five passengers were transported to hospital with varying, but non-life-threatening injuries.
All five victims are said to be in their 20s, although further identification has not been released.
The driver has been arrested for impaired driving, but police say charges have not yet been laid.
