2 Alberta men facing charges in nearly 10-year-old homicide case

Two Alberta men are facing first-degree murder charges in relation to a man’s death in Eckville nearly 10 years ago.

On Oct. 24, 2006 Bradley Webber was found shot to death inside his fifth wheel trailer in the central Alberta town, which is located about 45 kilometres west of Red Deer.

Calgary RCMP announced Friday that first-degree murder charges were laid against Shayne Earl Gulka of Lacombe. The 44-year-old was also charged with the kidnapping of another person. Gulka was arrested Thursday and is scheduled to appear in court in Red Deer on March 14.

Kevin Edward Brown of Calgary is wanted on one count of first-degree murder in Webber’s death and one count of kidnapping in relation to another person. A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for the 33-year-old’s arrest.

Brown is 5’9″ tall and weighs about 180 pounds. He has blonde hair and brown eyes. Police said he has moles on his face and a scar on his forehead. Brown has a tattoo of a Chinese symbol on the left side of his neck and a tribal design on the upper portion of his right arm.

Anyone with information about Brown’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately. He should not be approached.
