A Canada-wide warrant for manslaughter had been issued for Chief in connection to the death of 43-year-old Henry Kipling.
Kipling died after being assaulted near Main St. and Sutherland Ave. in the early morning hours of February 27.
Police say he was beaten twice. The first assault allegedly came at the hands of a 23-year-old woman who has already been arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
Police say Kipling was attacked again about 30 minutes later as he waited for a taxi by Chief.
