REGINA – Meadow Lake RCMP have charged a 62-year-old man in the death of Tommy Fiddler of Waterhen Lake First Nation.
RCMP say they attended a residence on the First Nation reserve Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. after a report of a deceased male.
Gordon Fiddler has been charged with second degree murder and prohibited possession of a firearm.
According to RCMP, the victim had suffered an apparent gunshot wound following an altercation between the two men. The 52-year-old victim was pronounced deceased on scene. Police say the two men were known to each other.
Fiddler will appear in Meadow Lake provincial court on Monday morning.
