WATCH: Zoolander, Hansel appear on SNL to discuss ‘Donnie’ Trump’s signature look

Fictional male models Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) and Hansel (Owen Wilson) were on Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update ahead of their upcoming movie to share their thoughts on the 2016 presidential election.

It was New York Fashion week but as Hansel explained, “we are not here to talk about fashion. We are here to talk about the one thing everyone wants to hear male models talk about: politics.”

When anchor Colin Jost pressed for specifics about what politics they would be discussing Hansel simply responded with: “fashion.”

The first candidate the fashion- forward duo touched upon was Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.

“Hillary’s style, reminds me of one of my all-time fashion icons. Kim Jong Un,” Zoolander said.

They then spoke of her rival, Bernie Sanders, who coincidentally was also making a guest appearance on the show.

“Bernie’s a champion of the 99 per cent. Apparently, the 99 per cent off at JC Penny,” Zoolander said.

“Yeah, look at that suit,” Hansel said of a photo of Sanders. “ Chernobyl called. They want their disaster back.”

The pair went on to discuss the dangers of voting, Ted Cruz and ‘Donnie’ Trump’s signature look.
