Police in Mahone Bay have dismantled a marijuana grow op, seizing several marijuana plants and stolen items from a home on Highway 325.
Police executed a warrant at the residence on Jan. 28. Officers recovered $20,000 worth of stolen property including two utility trailers, empty beer kegs, lumber, concrete forms, as well as 25 marijuana plants.
“This investigation was significant in that we solved four separate theft files from the past two months,” said Lunenburg RCMP District Commander S/Sgt. Jean-Guy Richard.
The 63-year-old female resident was arrested and is facing multiple drug-related charges, and charges under the criminal code.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
