Police in Kamloops are investigating a homicide that happened Friday afternoon.
RCMP say a man suffered serious injuries after being attacked by another man near the 400-block of Tranquille Rd. sometime after 4:30 p.m.
The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
The 30-year-old victim was sent to Royal Inland Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
RCMP say the investigation is in its early stages, but they believe the attack was not a random event, as there was a connection between the victim and suspect.
Anyone with information is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
