REGINA – An early morning basement fire in North Regina sent two people to hospital.
Fire crews were called to the 200 block of Litzenberger Cr. just after 4AM Wednesday where a fire was contained to the basement, but the rest of the home did suffer smoke damage.

There were four people in the house, and two needed to go to the hospital for minor smoke inhalation.
Fire alarms in the basement of the home may have saved lives, according to the Regina Fire Department.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
