Warrants issued for one suspect in violent Sask. home invasion, six others arrested

RCMP are still searching for Shane Wolfe after the violent home invasion.

UPDATE: On Feb. 13, Regina Police located and arrested Jonas McNab. He has been remanded to Provincial Court on Feb. 16 at 9:30 a.m. in Regina.

On Jan. 27, Vernon Bigsky has turned himself into police and is currently in police custody. RCMP are still searching for Shane Wolfe in connection to the violent home invasion.

PUNNICHY, Sask. – RCMP are on the hunt for three Saskatchewan men following a violent home invasion on the Muskowekwan First Nation that left two people injured.

At approximately 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 17, Punnichy RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter at a residence on the Muskowekwan First Nation east of Punnichy, Sask.

Police say at least seven people, all of whom were disguised, forced their way into the residence with various weapons, including steel bars, baseball bats and a firearm. The residence and a vehicle outside the residence were significantly damaged.

Police say there were six adults and two children inside the residence at the time of the incident. Two men sustained injuries. They have received medical treatment and have been released from hospital.

Warrants have been issued for Vernon Charles Bigsky, 29, Jonas Darian McNab, 19, and Shane Darrell Wolfe, 29, in relation to the break and enter. All men are from Muskowekwan First Nation. Together, they face a total of 23 charges.

Two teenage boys and two men from the Muskowekwan First Nation have been arrested in relation to the break and enter.

A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act is facing nine charges and a 16-year-old boy is facing seven charges.
Jesse Mark Wolfe, 29, faces 12 charges and Brandon Michael Albert, 22, faces seven charges.

All four appeared in Saskatchewan Provincial Court on Tuesday in Punnichy, Sask.
