WINNIPEG — Jessica Gosselin is hoping to find the owner of a lost anniversary ring she found in a pile of snow near the Perimeter Highway on Friday evening.
Gosselin said she was driving on Pipeline Road when she had to pull over because her windshield wiper was not working properly. Once she fixed the wiper, she was about to get back into her car when she noticed a ring in a pile of snow.
“Curiosity got the best of me and I scooped it up,” said Gosselin. “It was really filthy, but when I got home I cleaned it up and I quickly realized the beauty beneath the dirt.”
She noticed an inscription on the ring. It read, ‘Eddie + Betty, May 16 1965, 25th anniversary’. Gosselin posted pictures of the ring on Facebook, but said no one has claimed it yet.
“This is a symbol of love, and I am really wanting it to go back to its owners,” said Gosselin.
