Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump’s latest endorsement is coming from three young girls in Florida.
The self-proclaimed USA Freedom Kids performed Wednesday night at a Trump rally in Pensacola, Florida, singing about freedom, liberty and “Ameritude.” (It’s a combination of the words America and attitude, and no I’m not making this up.)
Three members of the song-and-dance troupe – Bianca, Izzy, and Alexis according to their website – wore red, white and blue dresses, and had a choreographed dance to go with the original song.
Two other members of the group were not present at the performance.
Some of the lyrics include phrases like “Cowardice…Are you serious?” and “When freedom rings, answer the call!”
The song, titled Freedom’s Call, uses the word “freedom” ten times (12 if you count its root word, free), and uses “USA” 13 times.
Reaction to the song is varied from cute to creepy – but the group’s website maintains it is “kid-friendly.”
“The USA Freedom Kids and President Donald Trump can make America great again with this fun, upbeat, kid-friendly dance song…” the website reads, “so get on your feet America and answer Freedom’s Call!”
The song was written by USA Freedom Kids’ manager (and singer Alexis’ dad), Jeff Popick, who has always been inspired by Trump, New York Magazine reported.
“We’re trying to spread an inspirational message of freedom, so we go to wherever we’re called to do that,” Popick told the magazine.
Popick has also been in touch with other Republican campaigns, but he said Trump’s campaign has been the most responsive.
