Ridge Meadows RCMP say the body of a missing camper was discovered in Golden Ears Provincial Park Saturday.
A 39-year-old man went missing in the early hours of New Year’s Day. He told friends he was going to set off fireworks and make a call on his cellphone, which was later found back at the campsite.
Friends and family have identified the man as Wade Bathurst.
Rick Laing of Ridge Meadows Search and Rescue said about 15 people, including members of Coquitlam Search and Rescue, were involved in the search for for the missing man.
