Caught on camera: Pennsylvania fire chief pulls man from burning car

A York Township, Pa. fire chief was caught on camera rescuing a man from a burning vehicle Monday morning.

Fire Chief Nate Tracey, a 27-year veteran, was the first one on scene after a call came in about a car crash on Indian Rock Dam Road.

Tracey is seen in the dash cam footage pulling the driver, identified as Greg Fabie of York, out of the vehicle and dragging him to safety from the flames in less than a minute.

It’s believed Fabie hit a utility pole. It’s not known what led to the incident.
