EDMONTON- An investigation is underway after a woman was rushed to hospital after being shot at a home in southwest Edmonton.
Police said emergency crews responded to a ‘trouble not known’ call in the area of Graham Wynd and 199 Street SW just before 5 a.m.
When officers arrived they found a woman with a gunshot wound. She was rushed to hospital in serious but stable condition.
Police said that while the investigation is in its early stages, it appears the bullet was fired from outside the home and hit her while she was inside. They said it’s too early to say if the home was targeted or not.
Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. in that area is being asked to call police.
