TORONTO — Police have arrested and charged a 31-year-old Toronto man wanted in connection with an alleged gang sexual assault in Mississauga this summer, after a group of men pulled over to help three women having car trouble.

Police said a 25-year-old woman was driving with two of her friends in the Dundas Street West and Winston Churchill Boulevard area at about 4 a.m. on July 6, when their vehicle stopped.

Two men then allegedly pulled up in a van to offer help to the women and when the vehicle didn’t start police said they offered the women a ride home.

While in the car, police alleged one of the women was sexually assaulted before the van came to a stop and “allowed” two of the women to leave.

Police said the third woman was then abducted and the van fled the area with the woman inside. She was allegedly sexually assaulted by two men before being able to escape.
