EDMONTON- Santa Claus is a lot more jolly this Christmas and he’s got a very good reason to be. “There are an awful lot of very nice kids coming to see me this year, very, very few naughty kids.”

Global News caught up with old St. Nick at Edmonton’s Kingsway Mall Sunday afternoon.

He said his top toy requests this year are dinosaurs and Paw Patrol themed toys for boys. Anna and Elsa dolls top the list for girls; along with Barbie and Dora.

Santa’s squeezing in a few more mall visits with children before the big day.

“I’m so happy they come and see me, because it gives them a chance to get a picture with their families, gives them a little bit of time together to create a memory,” Santa said.

Santa added that he and his helpers are ready for the big day, “the reindeer are in prime condition and ready to go.”

You can visit Santa at Kingsway Mall right up until 3 p.m. on Christmas eve.
