Karyn Rochford, wife of Canadian singer Bobby Curtola, identified as victim in Highway 103 crash

HALIFAX – The wife of Bobby Curtola, Karyn Rochford, has been identified as the victim of Tuesday’s fatal collision on Highway 10, near Bridgewater.

“Karyn is the love is his life,” reads a statement on Curtola’s official Facebook page.

The statement goes on to say the family would like privacy as they deal with their loss, and a further announcement will be made after her funeral.

Curtola, an iconic 1960s Canadian pop star, is known for many songs including Hand in Hand With You and Fortune Teller.

A 68-year-old man who was also involved in yesterday’s collision was taken to hospital and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP say yesterday’s bad weather was a likely factor in the three-vehicle crash.
