TORONTO – In July 2010, an elderly Alberta couple was reported missing by their family while en route to southwestern B.C.
Nearly two years later, RCMP arrested and charged Travis Vader, 40, with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Lyle and Marie McCann.
The elderly couple was last seen on gas station surveillance camera footage on July 3, 2010.
Days later their motorhome was found, engulfed in flames at a campground.
Since that discovery, the McCann family and the police searched for clues that helped to shed light on Lyle and Marie’s disappearance.
Global News plots the events of the disappearance of Lyle and Marie McCann on an interactive map.
