WINNIPEG — Fans got to meet some of the their favourite players as they walked down the red carpet for the 2015 Shaw CFL Player Awards.
Fan Fest was part of an all-night celebration at the Club Regent Event Centre.

Supporters of all nine teams lined the red carpet area, including long-time Winnipeg Blue Bombers fan and 33-year season ticket holder Cindy Buss.
“We sit right behind the opponent’s bench so I recognize a lot of them … it’s great seeing them close-up and being rewarded for the efforts,” she said.
Blue Bombers quarterback Drew Willy and defensive lineman Jamaal Westerman, who was nominated for the Most Outstanding Canadian Award, were among the players who made their way down the red carpet.

There were also Blue Bombers alumni at Fan Fest to talk with fans and sign autographs.
“Seeing all these people from all across Canada, wearing the BC jackets, the Edmonton Eskimos Jackets – they’re from all over Canada, they all come here and they’re meeting everyone else and having a good time,” said former kicker Walt McKee.
All nine teams had booths set-up where fans could get there pictures taken with team gear.

There was also an opportunity for fans to get pictures with the Grey Cup.
Fan Fest took place just before the Shaw CFL Awards were handed out and a players after-party hosted by the CFL Players Association.
