Father, son dress as each other for Halloween, confusing everyone

Paul and Bobby Evers have an undeniably close bond.

“We’re like really, really, really good friends. And family,” said Paul.

The father and son from Bend, Oregon not only work together as designers at a creative agency, but they also help run a craft brewery.

They say it was a running joke in their office that they often get mistaken for each other, so for Halloween this year, they decided to go all in and turn it into a real “Freaky Friday” situation.

Bobby’s friend Jacob Schumacher posted the photo on Reddit on Monday and it and it went viral overnight. It currently has over 15,000 upvotes on Imgur.

And it has the Internet perplexed.

The Evers said their coworkers and friends were just as confused.

“We spent the whole day together. We work at an agency and we freaked people out when they came in,” said Paul.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

“Literally everybody,” said Bobby.

They even surprised themselves.

“We looked at the two photos together and kind of overlaid them and I think it surprises us both how much our physical characteristics are similar to each other,” said Paul. “Bobby didn’t realize I was that good looking!”

And Paul’s wife (Bobby’s mom) Mary refused to be seen getting cozy with either of them.

“She said, ‘Listen guys, I’m not touching either one of you,’” said Paul. “We said, ‘Good! Because that would freak us all out!’”

Bobby, 26, is the middle child and only son of Paul and Mary’s three children. He says people would always comment on how much he looked like Paul while growing up.

“I actually think I’m a 50/50 split of both my parents,” said Bobby. “I’m just a guy so I look like the guy.”

“It wasn’t really until he became more muscular and handsome that he started looking more like me,” joked Paul.

But Paul had to fake a few facial features to really look like his son, namely, a dimple and lush eyelashes. The solution? Some contouring and false lashes which he says were the most challenging part of the getup.

Paul and Bobby haven’t planned next year’s Halloween costume just yet, but might be pulling off another switcheroo as a prank.

“The only reason why I think this is just a ton of fun is because it’s with my son, with family.” said Paul.
