There is concern that it may not just be federal politicians who can bring bad luck to the Blue Jays.
Early into Game 5 of the American League Divisions fans noticed a familiar face sitting behind home plate, city councillor and former Toronto mayor Rob Ford.
It may sound unfair, but there’s already a well-documented political jinx on the Jays this year. The leaders of all three major political parties have attended home games, and the home team has lost every time. All three eventually promised not to attend any more games this year.
That bad luck may trickle down to the civic level. Rob Ford is at the game, and some fans aren’t happy.
However, at least one fan is predicting Ford’s presence to provide a clutch win.
