House fire extinguished in Saskatoon’s Pleasant Hill neighbourhood

SASKATOON – Firefighters extinguished a house fire Saturday in the Pleasant Hill neighbourhood. The Saskatoon Fire Department was called to 106 Ave. N South at around 3:25 a.m. CT.

Crews arrived to face heavy flames and smoke mainly coming from the rear of the building. The fire department says the blaze was halted with a fast attack from the exterior, then crews completed a search inside.

The house was vacant at the time.

An investigator was called out to the scene, but the cause of the fire is still unknown.

Damage is estimated at $100,000.
