A boat caught fire just off Wreck Beach near UBC Wednesday afternoon.
Two people on board jumped into the water and were rescued by a passing boat. Thankfully they were not injured.

A number of fire boats responded, and the wreckage sank after the fire was extinguished.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
