REGINA – If you’re a family pet in Canada, the Queen City is where you want to be – it was ranked the number 1 city in the country for pampered pets.
On Wednesday Amazon.ca released their third annual list of the top cities in Canada with pampered pets and Regina came in at number one followed by Saskatoon, Burnaby, Windsor and Kitchener to round out the top five.
Regina ranks the highest for purchasing the most dog grooming products and toys for their pets.
When it comes to the great debate of dogs vs. cats the data said Regina followed by Saskatoon and Windsor purchased the most products for dogs, while Kitchener followed by Saskatoon and Regina purchased the most cat products.
Bird Owners in Gatineau, Edmonton and Windsor took the top three spots for pampering their birds by purchasing bird toys, food, and cage accessories.
Amazon compiled the list by comparing pet item sales from August 2014 to August 2015 on a per capita basis with more than 100,000 residents.
