Police on Vancouver Island are asking drivers to slow down after a serious head-on collision on Vancouver Island closed the Trans-Canada Highway Saturday morning.
West Shore RCMP say a southbound Honda Accord collided with a northbound Volkswagen sedan near Finlayson Road in Goldstream Provincial Park just before 9 a.m. Four people were transported to Victoria General Hospital.
RCMP say investigators are examining the possibility that alcohol may have been one of the factors leading to the crash.
The Malahat was re-opened at 1 p.m.
