WINNIPEG — If you are looking to fill your gas tank Wednesday morning, you might want to avoid Shell Canada.
Several Shell stations around Winnipeg are without fuel. The pumps have bags over them, indicating no gas and signs have been placed at the station stating, “Sold out of all gas. Sorry for the inconvenience.” The sign also is sitting at .0 cents a litre.
There’s also a lack of fuel at several Shell station in Edmonton.
A spokesperson with Shell Canada Limited said some of the fuel shortages are due to maintenance work being done at their Scotford Refinery in Alberta. High customer demand during the summer and tight supply across the industry are also to blame.
