WATCH ABOVE: Regina Police investigate a suspicious death just east of downtown
REGINA – Police say the man responsible for the city’s sixth homicide in 2015 is related to the victim.
Around 12:30 p.m. Saturday, a body was found on Ottawa St. near Railway St. South. RPS Major Crimes, Forensic Identification, and members of the Community Services Division investigated for several hours.
The victim was later identified as Jonathon Michael Ewenin, 34, of Regina.
His cousin, Rockwell Robert Ewenin, 30, is charged with second degree murder. Police say the victim’s family has been notified of the latest development in the case.
Ewenin is appearing in Provincial Court on Monday morning.
