GIMLI – An early morning blaze in an RV park has completely destroyed one vehicle and left a young girl with minor injuries.
The incident happened Saturday morning around 5 a.m.at the Autumnwood Motel and RV Resort in Gimli.
Co-manager Sheryl Kruse told Global News the RV was struck by lightning and was quickly set a blaze. There was a young woman, believed to be in her young 20’s, inside at the time. She managed to escape the trailer with just a few minor cuts and bruises.
However we are told one dog perished in the fire.
The provincial Office of the Fire Commissioner makes the final assessment and determination as to what caused the fire.
