Winnipeg police pursue new leads in Thelma Krull case

WINNIPEG — Police say they have new possible witnesses in the disappearance of Thelma Krull and are asking for help finding them.

Krull, 51, was last seen walking from her home in Valley Gardens on the morning of July 11. She hasn’t been seen since, and the only trace of her found so far has been her glasses, which were discovered in nearby Civic Park.

In a news release Friday, officers say a vehicle was spotted in the same area that day.

“Investigators are attempting to identify the occupants of a newer, dark coloured Dodge Caravan or Volkswagen Routan which was seen in and around the area of Civic Park (Valley Gardens),”

Police are also looking for a person walking a dog in the area just before 8 a.m. that day.

“She is described as Caucasian, 5’3″ – 5’4″ tall with an average build and dark brown hair and was noted to be wearing ear buds. She was walking a brown dog that was approximately knee high, possibly a German Shepherd,” police said.

Police say they’ve identified other people shown in images released to the public, and that they’ve all been interviewed.
