Another pedestrian hit, killed by car in Winnipeg

WINNIPEG – Another pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in Winnipeg.  A man has died after being hit on Austin Street in Point Douglas around 5 p.m. Thursday evening.

Police were on scene investigating until late Thursday night.  There’s no word yet on possible criminal charges against the driver.

This is the third person killed in the past couple weeks after being hit by a car in our city.

Oanh Pham, 33, was hit and killed by a truck while walking to work at Siloam Mission on July 30th. Police have ruled out charges against the driver in that case.

Another woman was killed after being hit at the intersection of Arlington and William. Investigators are still looking to speak to witnesses in connection to that crash
