Boundaries: An urban-rural riding south of Waterloo-Kitchener, the riding consists of the parts of Cambridge south of Highway 401, and the township of North Dumfries.
Last Election: Goodyear defeated NDP candidate Susan Galvao by 25.7 per cent, his largest margin of victory in his four wins.

History: The riding was held by Liberal MP Janko Peric from 1993 to 2004, but otherwise Cambridge has been held by PC/Conservative MPs since it was created prior to the 1979 election.
Provincially, the riding was held by the Progressive Conservatives from 1995 to 2014, but Liberal candidate Kathryn McGarry was victorious in last year’s election.
