A B.C. federal candidate is getting attention online for his campaign video.
Wyatt Scott is running as an independent in the Mission–Matsqui–Fraser Canyon district but it is his video on YouTube that has got everyone talking.
The ad starts with Scott riding a giant Canada Goose. He then takes out a sword and says he is “here to fight for Canada” before killing a dragon on the ground below.
He mentions university costs, healthcare and social programs as items he wants to focus on in his campaign.
After yelling that he is “running for parliament”, Scott then shoots lasers out of his eyes and kills a giant robot.

He said he thinks a lot of people are unhappy with the direction Prime Minister Stephen Harper has taken the country and it’s time for change.
But when it came time to decide on a campaign video, he wanted to make something Canadian and make sure his message was heard loud and clear.
“Let’s be realistic,” he said. “An independent doesn’t have a shot at getting into the House of Commons. It’s been done once in modern-day politics in our country.”
But Scott said he would love to go to parliament and represent his community.
“We have never seen this many new ridings before come in to play, and we will not see it again in our lifetime. We are on the verge of making history in Canada and I want to be a part of a positive and productive push forward.”
