Canada to field country’s largest Pan Am Games team ever

TORONTO – The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) announced the full Canadian lineup for the Pan Am Games in Toronto Wednesday.

The host nation is sending its largest delegation ever of the country’s top athletes to the multi-sport event which officially kicks off Friday.

“Congratulations to the contingent of athletes who have made it on to Team Canada,” said Marcel Aubut, President of the COC. “What an incredible honour to represent your country on home soil.”

Team Canada is made up of 373 male competitors and 346 female. Three sets of twins and two father-son combos are among the competing athletes.
