WATCH ABOVE: Water was shut off to residents and businesses for the second time this year after another sinkhole formed in a Toronto road. Mark McAllister reports.
TORONTO – Several lanes of eastbound Eglinton Ave. are closed Tuesday morning as a result of a large sinkhole.
Toronto police issued an advisory over Twitter just after 8 a.m. asking motorist to avoid the area east of Keele near Richardson.
Witnesses indicate the hole is approximately six metres in length.
In March, a sinkhole closed Eglinton Ave. between Kane Ave. and Richardson Ave. after water and soil was found leaking into an emergency tunnel for the Crosstown LRT.
