Police in Victoria are investigating after a body was discovered washed ashore this morning.
Sgt. Kris Rice with Victoria police says a walker found the remains in the water in the Dallas Road area early this morning.

She notified the police immediately and they were able to confirm the discovery of human remains.
Investigators are working to confirm identification.
The investigation is ongoing and officers are canvassing the shoreline to see if there are any items of interest. They say the area is heavily used by residents.
Police can’t confirm if foul play was involved at this point.
