Winnipeg ISIS supporter remains in jail after court hearing delayed

WINNIPEG – Aaron Driver will spend at least another night in jail after his court appearance Monday was put off until Tuesday.

Driver, 23, was rearrested Friday afternoon after he didn’t meet his bail conditions. The woman he rents his Charleswood basement suit from withdrew her surety of $1,500.

Until another person agrees to put up his bail and give him a place to live, Driver will remain in jail.

Driver is suspected of supporting terrorist group ISIS and was active on social media.

RCMP raided Driver’s Carlotta Crescent home June 4th and seized several computer hard drives.

Driver was released on bail June 13th and given 25 strict conditions including not using a computer, a curfew and has to wear a GPS monitoring device.

He’ll appear back in court Tuesday morning.
