WATCH: ‘Heroes Reborn’ trailer

TORONTO — NBC released a trailer Thursday for Heroes Reborn, the hotly-anticipated series coming to Global this fall.

Heroes Reborn is a follow-up to Heroes, which ran for four seasons beginning in 2006. It follows a group of ordinary people who have extraordinary abilities.

Production of 13 episodes continues in Toronto until mid-September.

The city is mostly unrecognizable in the trailer, which is underscored by a haunting version of Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” performed by a children’s choir.

According to an official description of the show from NBC, a Texas city has been decimated by a terrorist attack and, blamed for the attack, “those with extraordinary abilities are in hiding or on the run from those with nefarious motives.”
