2 men in hospital following 2nd drive-by shooting in Surrey in as many nights

Surrey RCMP are investigating a targeted shooting in the 18600-block of Highway 10. Curtis Kreklau

For the second time in two nights, Surrey RCMP are investigating a drive-by shooting.

Police rushed to the 18600-block of Highway 10 at around 10 p.m. Saturday night after receiving reports that shots were fired between two vehicles, a white or light-coloured SUV and silver Pontiac Vibe.

Once on scene, officers found evidence of a shooting, including two homes that were struck by bullets.

RCMP were later notified that two men arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. Both men remain in hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The hospital was on lockdown as a safety precaution.

On Friday night, two men were sent to hospital after a drive-by shooting at 152nd Street and 57th Avenue, close to several restaurants and a pub.

Police are not able to say whether Saturday’s incident is connected to a recent spate of shootings in the Surrey area.
