WATCH: Two joggers are injured after being knocked down Friday night by a drunk driver who was heading home after a golf tournament. Tim Sargeant reports.
MONTREAL – A woman in her twenties is in critical condition after she and a friend were struck by a car as they were jogging in Hudson on Friday night.
The young woman is in the intensive care unit and police fear for her life.
Her companion, a man in his twenties, suffered minor injuries and was released from hospital.
The accident happened at 7:15 p.m. on Cambridge Street near Wiltshire Street.
The 22-year old male driver was apprehended and is spending the weekend behind bars.
Police say he will appear in Valleyfield court on Monday morning to face charges of drunk driving causing bodily harm.
