KELOWNA – A large parade of motorcycles will disrupt traffic Sunday morning in Kelowna.

Up to 600 riders could participate in the annual Motorcycle Ride for Dad event.

For public safety, RCMP and traffic flaggers will shut down Highway 97 intersections from McCurdy Road to Ellis Street for a few minutes between 10:00 a.m. and about 10:15 to allow the procession to pass.

The riders, with a police escort, will then swing through downtown on Bernard Avenue before crossing the bridge at about 10:40 to West Kelowna.

RCMP are asking other motorists to be patient during the delays.
