GUELPH – Police have arrested and charged a man with first-degree murder in the case of a woman who was reported missing almost a year ago.
Police had treated the “unexpected disappearance” of Seble (Mimi) Dietrich in July 2014 as suspicious and had assigned a team of detectives to try to find the 39-year-old woman.
On Tuesday, police said they had arrested and charged a 43-year-old Guelph male with first-degree murder and obstructing police.
The unidentified man was being held in custody pending a bail appearance on Wednesday.
Dietrich has not been seen since she left her home in a red Mercedes between July 10-11 last year.
She was reported missing about a week later and her car was later found at her business.
