Fire destroys Summerland camping trailer

UPDATE: People at the RV park will never know what caused the blaze.

Assistant Fire Chief George Pugh says the damage was so extensive that the fire’s origin and cause cannot be determined.

SUMMERLAND — Damage was extensive as the result of a structure fire late Monday night in Summerland.

The fire happened at Summerland RV Resort in the 3900 block of Landry Crescent.

Crews were called to the scene shortly after 11:30 p.m. and found a camping trailer engulfed in flames.

The occupants made it out safely.

The flames damaged neighbouring trailers.
