Gunfire has erupted in a normally quiet area of Burnaby and police aren’t saying yet whether members of the public should be concerned.
It happened along 16th Avenue at 16th Street around 10:30 Tuesday night.
Police blocked off a large section of the street for a number of hours.
Evidence markers were visible at the scene as officers pored over the ground for clues.
They are now confirming they found evidence of a shooting.
Investigators brought in dogs, but so far they haven’t found any suspects.
It appears as though no one was hurt.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Burnaby RCMP.
