ABOVE: Fozzie Bear, along with master puppeteer Terry Angus, drops by The Morning News to promote the upcoming Tribute to Jim Hensen called No Strings Attached at the Dart Gallery.
HALIFAX – It’s time to get things started. It’s time to light the lights…of the Dart Gallery.
A tribute to Jim Henson, the celebrated puppeteer and creator of classic children’s shows like The Muppet Show and Fraggle Rock, opens Friday night and runs until June 2nd.
The show comes 25 years after Henson’s death and shows how he still continues to touch the lives of people today.
The exhibit is bringing in some of the iconic characters that still are featured in movies and television today. It will also showcase original artwork by various local artists
The pieces are donated by Terry Angus of Halifax, who worked with Henson from 1982-1990. Angus says the muppets are all made from the original patterns.
