William and Kate fill out Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana’s birth certificate

William and Kate have officially registered their new baby with the name Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge.

The Kensington Palace twitter account tweeted the registration card on Tuesday morning which lists all of the details about the new baby and parents.

William’s full name is listed as His Royal Highness Prince William Arthur Philip Louis Duke of Cambridge.

Kate’s full name is written Catherine Elizabeth Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Cambridge.

Their occupations are the Prince and Princess of the United Kingdom.

No typical surname is listed on the birth certificate, as members of the British Royal Family rarely use one, opting instead for their title. But they do have one, in fact, they can use several.

According to a BBC article written ahead of the birth of Charlotte’s older brother George, they can choose from Mountbatten-Windsor (a combination of Queen Elizabeth’s and Prince Phillip’s surnames), Wales (the surname William uses in the military), or Cambridge (the title given to William and Kate when they married).
