TORONTO – One person has died of their injuries following a head-on collision between a VIVA transit bus and a pick-up truck in Thornhill Thursday morning.

York Regional Police say the crash happened just before 8 a.m. on Yonge St. between Centre St. and Royal Orchard Blvd.
The victim was the driver of the truck. Several passengers on the bus also suffered minor injuries.
Traffic in the area is expected to be closed both ways on Yonge St. for the next several hours.
As a result of the collision, VIVA pink and blue buses are currently diverting the area.
