Prince Albert police call woman’s death suspicious

A suspicious death investigation has been launched by Prince Albert police after a women was pronounced dead on the weekend. File / Global News

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. – Police are calling a death in Prince Albert, Sask. suspicious. At around 9:30 p.m. on April 19, officers and paramedics were called to a woman in cardiac arrest outside a residence in the Crescent Acres area.

She was pronounced dead on scene. The victim’s name has not been released.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday in Edmonton.

The criminal investigation division and forensic identification officers are assisting with the investigation.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area of the walking path behind Helme Crescent on April 19 between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. to come forward because they may have information that will assist investigators.
