TORONTO – A Southwest Airlines flight bound for New Hampshire was grounded Thursday after a passenger stabbed another man with a pen multiple times for accidentally touching her while he slept.

Lenny Mordarski was tired on his delayed flight from Chicago to Manchester and allowed himself to fall asleep. His actions, while sleeping, disturbed another passenger.

“Our flight was delayed. I think the woman sitting next to us was a little cranky about that,” witness Michael Sutton told WFXT. “[Lenny] fell asleep on the taxi on the runway and, um, I guess his arm kind of brushed over to her.”

“She just went nuts and started stabbing [him] with [her] pen – he screamed really loud.”

Sutton added that the captain immediately agreed to return to the terminal after learning of the attack.

Authorities escorted the unidentified woman off the plane. A spokesperson for the airline confirmed she was eventually placed on another flight after Mordarski decided not to press charges.

Mordarski’s shirt was left covered with ink stains, and he claims to have suffered minor bruising, yet seemed positive during an interview with CBS.

“Well, imagine being asleep and being stung by bees and waking up and going, ‘Owwww!'” the victim said.
